Yes. Parents always use Clefora completely free. When a teacher invites a parent to connect, the parent creates a free account with no hidden costs or premium upsells. Full access to lesson digests, practice goals, progress tracking, exam updates, invoices, and messaging.
What happens after the 14-day free trial?
After your trial ends, you can continue on a paid plan or switch to using Clefora as a parent-only (free) account. No payment is taken during the trial, and you can cancel at any time.
How does the 5% transaction fee work on Premium?
When parents pay you through Clefora, a 5% fee is deducted from each payment. This covers Stripe processing and platform costs. You get your own Stripe dashboard with full visibility of all transactions.
Can I switch between Standard and Premium?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, and downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period.
Do I need Premium to accept lesson payments?
Yes, integrated payment features (in-app payments, invoicing, payment reminders, and financial reports) are only available on the Premium plan. Standard plan teachers handle payments separately.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Not yet — we're launching with simple monthly billing to keep things straightforward. Annual plans with a discount may be offered in the future.
