Yes. Parents always use Clefora completely free. When a teacher invites a parent to connect, the parent creates a free account with no hidden costs or premium upsells. Full access to lesson digests, practice goals, progress tracking, exam updates, invoices, and messaging.

Starting a Standard or Premium plan begins a 30-day free trial, and no credit card is needed to start it. Add a card before day 30 and the plan carries on; if you don't, you continue on the free teacher plan (one active student at a time, up to three switches). No payment is taken during the trial, and you can cancel at any time.

No. Clefora takes 0% of your lesson income. When parents pay you in-app, you pay only Stripe's standard card-processing fee (about 1.5% + 20p in the UK) directly — the same as if you ran Stripe yourself — and nothing extra to us. You get your own Stripe dashboard with full visibility.

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. The change takes effect immediately and Stripe prorates the difference on your next invoice. If you change plan during your trial, the trial end date stays the same.

Yes, integrated payment features (in-app payments, invoicing, payment reminders, and financial reports) are only available on the Premium plan. Standard plan teachers handle payments separately.

Yes. The free teacher plan covers one active student at a time, with all core features. You can switch which student is active up to three times. Standard and Premium both include unlimited students.
